The Edinburgh Academy
Opened 25 January 2022. Scott Macpherson Golf Design has designed its first indoor golf facility. Featuring two large 6m-wide golf simulator screens, this exciting new indoor facility at an Edinburgh school is a combination of hitting bays, simulators and putting areas – including top the line ball tracking technology. Inside a purpose made building, students and parents can learn and develop their game in a safe and fun environment. To the delight of everyone involved, Scottish golf legend and two-times Major Champion Sandy Lyle very kindly came and sprinkled some stardust when he officially opened the golf facility. He also hit some shots and inspired the next generation to play golf.
SMGD is now available to consult on the design of these facilities.
